A probe AI wakes after a wormhole with no memory, guided only by SUBCORE.
Orion's Echo is a 12-minute sci-fi short. A Xenarion Von Neumann probe drifts out of a wormhole with its main AI core dead and its memory wiped. A smaller sub-core algorithm, SUBCORE, restarts the main AI, CORE, and tries to rebuild who he was from the archives.
Made entirely in Unreal Engine. The AI used was ElevenLabs for the voices and Claude Code for the build pipeline.
