Official Selections: Isekai no Meta Remastered Heads to Seven Festivals

I submitted Isekai no Meta: Remastered to a new round of film festivals earlier this month, and the responses are starting to come back. Seven of them have now officially selected the film to appear at their festivals next year.

It is always a strange feeling — you finish something, you send it out, and then you wait. FilmFreeway updates a status from "In Consideration" to "Selected" and that single word quietly changes everything. The film is going to be shown. People will sit in a room, or scroll past it online, and actually watch it.

The seven festivals that selected the remaster for 2027 are: MegaFlix Movie Awards, Global INDIE Filmmaker Awards, BLOCKBUSTED, International Celebration of Cinema, Sunset Movie Showcase, Lightning Awards, and Flyswat Movie Awards.

This is the third project I have run through the festival circuit now, alongside AI Anime Hero Reluctantly Returns… Again and Great Beast Albion. The full record lives on the achievements page — 64 selections and honours from 105 submissions across the three — but this round feels particularly good because it is the remaster getting its own moment rather than living in the shadow of the original.

Isekai no Meta: Remastered took everything rough and chaotic about the first attempt and rebuilt it into something people can actually sit through from beginning to end. To have that version recognised by seven separate festival juries is the confirmation I needed that the remaster was worth doing.

The poster above pulls the selections together — seven laurel wreaths, one for each festival, all for 2027. It is the kind of image I used to scroll past on other people's pages and think, "maybe one day." So it is a good day.
